Why is there no statutory consumer cooling-off period for my licence?

Right of Withdrawal

Postcode Checkout is offered exclusively to business customers. When placing your order, you confirm that you are purchasing the licence for use in connection with your business, trade or profession. You are therefore not acting as a consumer, which means that the statutory 14-day consumer cooling-off period and right of withdrawal do not apply.

The licence is activated immediately after your order and has a term of 12 months. You can choose to pay the full licence fee annually or spread the amount over 12 monthly instalments. Monthly payment is simply a payment method and does not make the licence cancellable on a monthly basis.

If you do not wish to continue the licence after the current term, you can stop the automatic renewal at any time before the end date. The licence will remain active until that date, and any remaining monthly instalments will continue to be collected. After the end date, the licence will not be renewed for another 12 months.

The absence of a consumer cooling-off period does not mean that you have no rights if Postcode Checkout is not provided in accordance with the agreement. In that case, please contact us so that we can assess the issue and, where appropriate, resolve it.
